Elaine Barker

Elaine has been involved with the folk and dance scene in Essex since the mid-1970s. She has run the Colchester Folk Club for many years, turning it into a highly successful venue, sought after by musicians nationally and popular with audiences throughout East Anglia.

In addition to performing solo and in a duo with Adrian May, Elaine is also a popular dance caller and has worked with numerous dance bands, including The Hooligan Band, Bass Instincts, Economy Seven, Itchy Feet, The Metric Foot Band and The Hosepipe Band, to name but a few.
